F.A.Q.'s:

What hospitals do your doctors admit to?

We have admitting privileges at Albany Medical Center and St. Peter's Hospital,
and we see newborns at each hospital daily.  Our preferred hospital for emergency
care or hospitalizations is the Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center.

How do you know my baby has been born?

If you have your baby in one of our admitting hospitals, the hospital will contact us
once you have advised them that we are your pediatricians.  For babies born at any
other hospital or at home, we would like to hear from you within 24 hours of discharge.

HOME BIRTHS: Please bring all birth records to your first office visit.

How soon do you see my baby?

Most babies are seen at our office within 3 days of discharge from the hospital.
New babies are seen for a “newborn weight check” in the first week of life.
Your baby’s first “Well Visit” will be between 2-4 weeks of age. If you are having
any concerns about your newborn, we encourage you to call our office.

What if I have a general question and need some advice?

We have Registered Nurses available daily to answer your questions.  Most calls are
answered within an hour.  If your child needs to be seen on the same day, it is
important to contact us as early in the day as possible.

What if I only want to speak to a doctor?

We ask that you take into consideration that our physicians are seeing patients
most of the day.  We will have you speak with one of our nurses.  The nurses
and physicians work together as a team to provide the best care possible.

What do I bring to my first visit?

Please bring the patient's insurance card.  We will ask to see your insurance card at each visit.
Our new patient forms are available on our website under Patient Forms.  You may fill them
out in advance, or we will have you fill them out when you arrive at our office.
HOMEBIRTHS: Please bring all birth records and insurance information.

What if I need to contact the office after regular office hours?

One of our physicians is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Please limit the
after hour calls to truly URGENT questions.

What if I have additional questions?

Please contact our office during regular hours, Monday – Friday; anyone on our staff
will be happy to answer your questions.
